Chandlerville, IL - Virginia M. Bell, 95, of Chandlerville, IL died at 6:00 pm Fri. April 14, 2006 at the Oak Terrace Healthcare Center in Springfield, IL. She was born Nov. 11, 1910 at Saidora, IL the daughter of Arthur O. and Hortense Dadisman Bell.

Miss Bell was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church near Bath, IL and a former member of the National Secretaries Association. After she graduated from Brown Business College she worked at the Mason County State’s Attorney’s office, she later worked for the State of Illinois in Springfield, IL, following that she worked in Washington D.C. for the Reconstruction Finance Office. After WWII she moved to California, then back to Illinois working in Chicago in a Management Personnel Office for the last 25 years of her career.

She is survived by two brothers, Morris (Doris) Bell of Chandlerville, IL and John Bell of Jacksonville, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She as preceded in death by a brother, A. O. Bell and an infant brother, George Bell.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday. April 18, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana conducted by Rev. Dennis Smith. Visitation will be held one hour (10:00 am until 11:00 am) prior to the service on Tues. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery near Bath. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Fairview United Methodist Church.
