Virginia M. Moore

1925 - 2010

Virginia M. Moore, 84, of Havana, passed away at her home at 5:10 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2010. She was born October 13, 1925 in Peoria, IL to Paul Eli and Gladys Jennett Abrams (Reed) Waldbeesser. She married Albert A. Moore in Peoria on February 17, 1945. He preceded her in death on September 28, 1989.

Mrs. Moore is survived by one son, Albert A. (Patricia) Moore of Foley, MN, three daughters, Paula (Dick) McCullough of Texas, Leona (Marvin) Cole, Gladys Bassett, both of Havana, 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 12 great great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Rosie Bissel of Pekin. She was preceded in death by her husband, sister, Darlene Ragan, brother, Paul Waldbeesser and daughter Carol Stone.

Mrs. Moore had previously worked for Atwood Industries and Bonnett's Turkey Hatchery in Havana.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 22 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 4:45 p.m. before visitation begins. Rev. Brian Lesemann will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
