Virginia Whipp 1918 - 2008 Virginia Whipp, 89, of Springfield, died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Heritage Manor in Springfield. She was born August 12, 1918, daughter of Virgil and Alley McMichael Whipp. She is survived by a sister, Dorothy Rittenhouse of Riverside, RI; and three nephews, Paul (Trini) Rittenhouse of Pembroke Pines, FL, John (Marilyn) Rittenhouse of Newnan, GA, and Robert (Sandra) Rittenhouse of Chicago. Virginia was a graduate of Knox College. She was chemist for Illinois Department of Health until her retirement. She was a member of King’s Daughters Circle. A memorial service will be held on April 26, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. |
