Vivian I. Bouchez 1909 - 2008
Havana, IL - Vivian I. Bouchez, 98, of Havana passed away at
10:27 am Sunday, April 20, 2008 at the Havana Healthcare Center. She was born
April 25, 1909 in Bartonville, IL the daughter of Robert and Etta Noel Bradley.
She married Jule Bouchez April 29, 1929 in Bartonville and he died May 28, 1986. Mrs. Bouchez was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in
Havana. She worked for 26 years in the laundry at Peoria State Hospital and
helped her husband operate the Bartonville Coal Yard. She is survived by one son, Earl "Dar" (Barb) Bouchez of
Havana and a former daughter-in-law, Joyce Bouchez of Bartonville. Also
surviving are five grandchildren, Jack (Melinda) Bouchez; Jean Bouchez; Julia
Bouchez; Joseph (Cindy) Bouchez; Jeffrey Bouchez, two step granddaughters, Cathy
(Bruce) Clark and Cindy (Dave) Sarff. Nine great grandchildren, Sarah (Lacey)
Taylor; John "Petey" (Dana) Bouchez; Joseph (Melissa) Bouchez; Jason Bouchez;
Sara (Brian) Becker; Brent (Megan) Fisher; Jake (Shellie) Brooks, Luke Brooks
and Justin Clark and nine great great grandchildren, Brianna Bouchez; Sandra
Bouchez; Brandon Taylor; Katie Bouchez; Emily Bouchez; Abigale Bouchez; Zachery
Bouchez, Rilea Fisher, and Graden Becker and one sister, Mildred Polson of
Bartonville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death
by one son Jule B. Bouchez, two brothers and six sisters.
Services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the Hurley Funeral
Home in Havana conducted by Fr. Bruce Lopez. Burial will be in the Springdale
Cemetery in Peoria. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Wednesday at
the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Midwest
Affiliate, Harborlight Hospice, Havana Healthcare Center or St. Patrick’s
