Wanda Tibbs

(1930 -2010)

Wanda Madline Tibbs, 79, of Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Sunny Acres Home. She was born on August 20, 1930 in Havana to George and Edith Haage Watson. She married Robert Tibbs on December 3, 1959 in Petersburg.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Mike) Williamson of Petersburg and Amy Beth (Joe) Miller of Riverton; one brother, Daniel (Tina) Watson, Sr. of South Pekin; five sisters, June Martin of Manito, Vivian Kromer and Barbara (Tom) Moore , all of Havana, Carolyn (Gene) Rector and Georgia Burgett , all of Ipava; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Her husband; parents; one brother, Dean; and two sisters, Evelyn and Edith, preceded her in death.

She had worked as a waitress at Ma Green Snack Shack.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 11:00 am at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Rev. Judy Vidakovich will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 3:00 pm till 5:00 pm also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakford Cemetery.
