Wanda Jeanne Skaggs

1934 - 2011

Wanda Jeanne Skaggs, 76, of Havana, passed away in Havana Township at 6:12 a.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2011. She was born February 12, 1934 in Oakford, IL to Lee and Minnie (Wernowsky) Skaggs.

Wanda is survived by two sisters, Eileen France of Havana and Judy Herrriman of Red Bud, IL. Also surviving is nephew Rick Noble, with whom she made her home as well as several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert L. Skaggs and two sisters, Freida Caldwell and Hazel Noble.

Wanda was a member of the 1^st United Methodist Church in Havana where she had served on the church board. She was also a member of Royal Neighbors.  She had worked as a bookkeeper at Stelter-Hofreiter Inc. in Havana since 1971.

Funeral services will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2011. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Rev. Sidney Davis will officiate.
