Warren G. Masten
(1922 - 2005)
TALLULA
— Warren G. Masten,
83, of
Tallula died Saturday, Dec.
24, 2005, at
Memorial Medical Center.
He was born
March 26, 1922, in
Cass County,
the son of Ezra and
Louanna
Woodrum Masten. He
married Ruth
Hubbard in 1947 in
Petersburg;
she died in 2003.
Mr. Masten
was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He retired as
assistant
site superintendent of New
Salem State
Park in 1995 after 35
years. He
was a member of Petersburg United Methodist Church and American Legion in
Tallula.
Survivors:
son, Kim Masten of
Tallula;
daughter, Susan Masten of
Tallula; two
brothers, Chester (wife,
Barbara)
Masten of Plainfield and
James (wife,
Barbara) Masten of
Tallula; and
four sisters, Mildred
Zillion and
Jeanne Wankél, both of
Tallula, and
Emma Pettit and Mary
Reiken, both
of Petersburg.
Services:
10 a.m. Thursday, Tallula Christian Church, the Rev.
Wayne Meyer
officiating. Burial: Camp Butler National Cemetery.
