M. Virginia Watkins, 71, of Petersburg died Friday, March 11, 2005, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born Dec. 26, 1933, in Morgan County, the daughter of Harold Edward and Helen Louise Long Farmer. She married Ray Watkins in 1953 in Ashland. Mrs. Watkins worked at Potter Drug Store in Petersburg for several years. She was a member of Chandlerville Christian Church. Survivors, husband, Ray; son, Gordon (wife, Brenda) Watkins of Petersburg; two daughters, Kathy (husband, Kenny) Pratt of Petersburg and Karen (husband, Rick) Boensel of Oakford; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three brothers, Harold Edward (wife, Donna) and Gerry Farmer, both of Ashland, and Eugene (wife, Sue) Farmer of Arenzville; and sister, Evelyn (husband, Harold) Allen of Ashland. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Hurley Funeral Home, Petersburg, the Rev. Ed Maddox officiating. Burial: Oakford Cemetery. Visitaion: 6 - 8 p.m. Monday, Hurley Funeral Home, Petersburg.
