William M. Smith

William M. Smith, 84, of Oakford, IL died on August 10, 2006 at 5:42 pm in Quincy, IL. He was born on November 25, 1921 to Paul and Sarah Knight Smith. He married Margaret Reliford on July 6, 1941 in Rossville, GA. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Peggy (Pete) Sutheard of Petersburg, and Sandra (Jim) Van Houten of Horseshoe Bend, Ark; three sons, Billy E. (Janet) Smith of Oakford, Jim (Companion, Joann) Smith of Oakford, Steve (Carol) Smith of Springfield, and Ron "Butter" (Penny) Smith of Kinderhook, IL; step mother, Marge Smith of Petersburg; two sisters, Irene (Larry) Smith of Kilbourne, and Pauline (Richard) Dixon of Petersburg; twelve grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

mr. Smith retired from Fiat Allis after 30 yrs as a machinist. He was a member of Four Square Gospel Church in Petersburg.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 14, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Fund.
