Kevin Patrick Corr Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kevin Patrick Corr, 58, of Manito, passed away at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 16, 2022, in Manito. He was born April 14, 1964, in Park Ridge, Illinois, to Eugene and Dolores (Sullivan) Corr. He married Laurie Buss, in Arlington Heights, Illinois, on July 2, 1992. Mr. Corr is survived by his wife, Laurie Corr, of Manito; two children: Ramona Corr of Pekin and Colleen Corr of Manito; one brother, Brian (Ellen) Corr of Loganville, Georgia; one sister, Cathy (Marc) Foss of Green Bay, Wisconsin; father-in-law, Thomas Buss Sr., of Pekin; as well as nieces and nephew: Allison Corr of Chicago, Felim Corr of Loganville, Georgia, and Deborah Corr of Putnam Valley, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and mother-in-law Joan Buss. Mr. Corr was active in the Manito community. He was a generous supporter of the Midwest Central Raiders Boosters and other organizations throughout the community. He owned and operated Corr's Custom Cakes in Manito for many years. He had learned his craft at a family bakery in Mt. Prospect, Illinois starting as a dishwasher, working his way up to Foreman where he gained a full knowledge of the business allowing him to open a bakery of his own. A memorial service will be held at Noon, on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Maas-Hurley Funeral Home, at 301 S. Washington St., in Manito. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until Noon, immediately prior to the services. Deacon Bob Sondag will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy.
