Mable L. Banister, 81, of Canton, IL passed away at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 6:02 AM. She was born on January 25, 1941 in Mamouth Springs, AR to Lawrence and Lora (Pedigo) Angotti. She married Loren Banister on August 15, 1955 in Alton, MO. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1996. Mable is survived by her children, Tim (Julie) Banister of Canton, IL, Charlene (James) Riley of Peoria, IL; four grandchildren, Angela Riley, Jeremy Riley, Alivia Banister, Nicole Banister; two great grandchildren, Justin and Mason Riley; and her siblings, Barbara Roberts, Charles Angotti, Gary (Sue) Angotti, and Gloria Jean (Rusty) Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mable enjoyed listening to country western music and painting. A funeral service will be held for Mable on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Hurley Funeral Home in Greenview, IL at 1:00 PM with visitation one hour prior to services from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
