Marie L. Lounsberry

Marie L. Lounsberry, 83, of Oakford, IL passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Sunset Manor in Canton, IL. She was born on February 10, 1939 in Ashland, IL to Warren and Carrie (Kruse) Winner. She married Morris “Lum” Lounsberry on April 21,1956 in Petersburg, IL and resided in Oakford. Marie is survived by her husband, Morris; four sons, Randy Wayne (Dawn) Lounsberry of Knoxville, TN, Ronald Eugene (Tammy) Lounsberry, Russell Warren (Sharon) Lounsberry both of Spring City, TN, Ryan Jay Lounsberry of Hixson Pike, TN; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry (Carolyn) Winner of Springfield, IL, and Richard (Judy) Winner of Alexandria, VA. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Harold, Melvin, Donald, Glenn, Betty, and Delores. Marie had worked at Sunny Acres (in the old Building) and the Convalescent Center. She moved to Hinsdale and worked at the Hinsdale Hospital as a Physical Therapy Assistant, working with people who had hip and knee replacements. She retired in 1998 and moved back to Oakford in 1999. She enjoyed Sudoku. A graveside service will be held for Marie on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Oakford Cemetery in Oakford, IL at 1:30 PM. Pastor Glenn Hill will officiate. Memorials may be made to ADRA.org.
