Ronald L. Craggs

Ronald Leroy Craggs, 80, of Kilbourne passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. He was born on September 19, 1941 in Dayton Kentucky to Clinton Craggs and Bo (Curry) Huey. He married Carolyn Craggs in Kilbourne on April 19, 1986. She preceded him in death on May 25, 2021. Ronald is survived by his children, Michael (Christine) Brandt, Melissa (Sheron) Brandt-Howard, Debbie Craggs, Rodney (Jana) Craggs and Sandy (David) Bailey. Grandchildren include Michael N. Brandt, Aaron Brandt, Treyton Smith, Brianne Scrudders, Kim Kruse and Alexander Bailey. He is also survived by great-granddaughter Alaina Brandt and sister Linda Huey. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, David Craggs, daughter, Tammie Todd, and sisters, Kathleen Butler and Cheryl Hughes. Ron was an avid steam engine enthusiast, and considered the threshing community his extended family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Havana, immediately followed by a luncheon. Burial will be held at Kilbourne Cemetery in Kilbourne. Memorial donations may be made in Ronald’s name to Grace Baptist Church in Havana.
