Wanda Horst, 99, of Mason City passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Mason City Area Nursing Home. She was born on October 17, 1922 in Mason City to Fred and Nellie (Mangold) King. On March 1, 1955 in Mason City she married Albert Horst who preceded her in death. Wanda is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Gary Horst, 2 sisters: Marvel Heinhorst and Mardelle Arnold and brother Don King. Wanda was a 1940 graduate of Mason City High School. She was a huge Chicago Cubs fan. She worked as a housewife and retired from Dana in Havana. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Mason City Cemetery. Guy Wands will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Mason City Area Nursing Home. Online condolences may be left at www.hurleyfh.com.
