Keith Allan Baugher

Keith Allan Baugher, 40, of Greenview, passed away April 9, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 14, 1971 to Orville Baugher and Patty (Adams) Shawgo. He is survived by his mother, Patty Shawgo of Oakford, his brother Zachariah Spaulding of Texas, two sisters, Jade (Josh) Thomas and Celia Spaulding of Greenview; two step-sisters, Brenda Adkins of Chandlerville and Christine Fletcher of Bath; a step-brother, Dean Shawgo of Bath, three nieces, Nicolette, Emma and Hunter and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Danny Baugher and his grandparents. Keith enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, being outdoors and spending time with friends and family. He will be missed and loved by all. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Hurley Funeral Home in Greenview with Pastor Rick Simmert officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Online memorial messages for his family may be left at www.hurleyfh.com. Mary was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church where she was a Religious Education Teacher, Eucharistic Minister to the homebound and to the nursing home, active in helping with funeral luncheons and with Women’s Lenten Services. Mary was a Petersburg First Citizen in 1991and a teacher for over 20 years at Pleasant Hill East Elementary School in Springfield before she decided to retire and care for her parents. She was a part of many community services and groups such as sorority, the Menard County Historical Society, the Garden Club, Menard County Food Pantry and Menard Caring, AG in the Classroom, Meals on Wheels and was also a meter reader. A Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church with Fr. James Palakudy officiating. Visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2013 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Menard County Food Pantry. Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg assisted Mary’s family with arrangements.
