Virginia L. Miller, 89, of Pekin passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 2:42 a.m. at Hopedale Medical Complex in Hopedale, Illinois. She was born on August 13, 1932 in Creve Coeur, Illinois to Ellis B. and Margaret (Stevenson) Carlton. She was married to Donald Orbe Miller in Creve Coeur, Illinois on January 22, 1955. Virginia is survived by her children: Don (Roma) Miller of Canton, Lori Miller of Galesburg, Melissa (Tony) Homerin of Delavan, Kelly Loomis of Walnut, Illinois, Karen and Dave Morris of Pekin, and Jill (Tom) Mondron of East Peoria, twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, 2 sisters Fern Hudson of Creve Coeur and Beverly Murphey of Georgia, 2 brothers, Earl Carlton of Girard, Illinois and Art Carlton of Morton, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Miller, her parents, her daughter, Sandra Dickerson, son, Timothy Miller, her granddaughter Kayla, great-grandson Grayson, her sisters Catherine, Delores, Margaret and her brothers Floyd, Cliff, Bob, and Tom Private burial will be held at a later date at Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito.
